Principal, Hanscom Primary School

 

This opening is for the elementary school principalship at the Lincoln School, serving students in grades K-3. Hanscom Primary School is located on Hanscom Air Force Base (HAFB).  The Lincoln Public Schools contracts with the Department of Defense Educational Activity (DoDEA) to provide education for students on HAFB.

 

This is an opening for FY24.   Start date: July 1, 2023

Primary Purpose

The Principal, under the supervision of the Superintendent of Schools, is responsible for

establishing a school that is a safe and nurturing environment, capable of addressing individual student needs, and providing a high quality educational experience. The Principal will serve as the Instructional Leader for the school and be committed to the mission of serving the students and families who reside at HAFB.

 

Contractual Relationship

The Principal reports directly to the Superintendent of Schools and negotiates an individual employment contract with the Superintendent in accordance with applicable School Committee guidelines and Massachusetts statutes.

 

Organizational Relationship

The Principal supervises and coordinates the activities of the faculty and sta? assigned to the school and is responsible for the implementation of the instructional program in accordance with the District Strategic Plan, School Committee policies and Administrative regulations.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Works to create a school environment in which staff, students, and parents can develop a mutual sense of trust, participation, understanding, and productive interaction:

 

  1. Provides effective and efficient management of school faculty and administration team:
  1. Performs related duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
  2. Observes local school regulations and school laws as they apply to the Principal's responsibilities.
